1. There were two (sequels) to the hit movie The Matrix: one was The Matrix Reloaded, and the other was The Matrix Revolutions. 駭客任務這部熱門電影有兩部續集：一是駭客任務之決戰未來，而另一部是駭客任務之最後戰役。
2. One of the most important inventions was the wheel, but no one knows who invented it because it happened in (prehistoric) times. 在大部份重要發明物中的其中一項是輪子，但是沒有人知道誰發明它的因為這個發明發生在史前時期。

被動語態判別要領：be動詞+p.p.過去分詞
被動語態是種間接語法。
被動語態主要使用有兩個功能：
1. To emphasize the receiver of the action. 來強調接受動作的人事物(名詞)
2. When the performer is unknown or not important. 原本做這個動作的人不具知名度或不重要時予以忽略
